Baboon Animation picks Super Schnoz

US animation studio Baboon Animation has struck a deal with children’s publisher Alber Whitman & Company to bring the Super Schnoz book series to the screen.

The books follows the life of 11-year-old Andy Whiffer and his alter ego Super Schnoz, who uses his large nose to fly and fight crime. The books were written by children’s author Gary Urey.

Mike de Seve, CEO of Baboon Animation, said: “I’m convinced this concept has a very wide appeal and I look forward to ‘smelling’ new opportunities out there. We look forward to initially presenting Super Schnoz at the upcoming Mipcom and animation community at large.”

The partnership deal was negotiated by David Wollos of ThinkTank Emporium.

Wollos commented: “We are pleased to be working with Mike de Seve to bring Super Schnoz to a global audience via various media platforms and licensed product opportunities. The sheer potential in all these areas for Super Schnoz is a wonderful asset for Albert Whitman & Company and its strategic relationship with Mike.”
