The Frontier is narrated by Native American actor Dan Warrior

Paramount-owned Channel 5 in the UK and Australian pubcaster SBS are among the international broadcasters to have picked up six-part Wild West docuseries The Frontier, produced by Daniel Sharp and Dash Pictures.

The deals were sealed by the show’s distributor, London-based Abacus Media Rights. The 6×60’ series is financed by Abacus parent company Amcomri Entertainment.

RTÉ (Ireland), Viasat World (Baltics, CEE, Scandinavia and CIS), YLE (Finland), SVT (Sweden), NRK (Norway) and VRT (Belgium) have also picked up the series.

Narrated by Native American actor Dan Warrior (Yellowstone), The Frontier explores the legends, events and folklore of the American frontier.

AMR will also launch a new history documentary from Dash Pictures and Night Train Media, Conquistadors: The Rise & Fall (6×60’), at MipTV in Cannes next week.

The series delves into the murky story of the Spanish Empire’s conquest of the New World, examining the Spanish Conquistadors and revealing the truth of this dark chapter in human history, according to the producers.
