Australia’s ABC among latest nets to take kids’ shows from Canada’s Sinking Ship

ABC has picked up literacy mystery series Wordsville

Australian pubcaster the ABC is among the latest networks to acquire kids’ shows from Canada’s Sinking Ship Entertainment.

The ABC has picked up literacy mystery series Wordsville, which encourages children aged four-to-seven to solve mysteries while learning lessons about vocabulary.

In Africa, Kenya’s Akili TV has acquired family drama Beyond Black Beauty, which reimagines Anna Sewell’s classic story Black Beauty through a modern lens.

In the Middle East, beIN Media Group has acquired the rights to educational series Odd Squad and Dino Dana.

Duo Media Networks has also picked up Dino Dana, for its Smartzone service in the MENA and Baltic regions, in addition to mystery series Ghostwriter and teen drama Phoenix Rise for Kidzone Max in the Baltics.
