Australian indie production company Orange Entertainment Co (OEC) has bolstered its leadership team by promoting Diya Eid to head of content.

The move follows the recent appointment of Georgia Woodward to the newly created role of chief operating officer at OEC, part of The Post Lounge Group.

Eid joined the company in 2021 as a producer after serving as head of content at Screen Queensland. As a producer for OEC, Eid has worked on feature film Audrey, Missing Persons Investigation for the Nine Network and Fremantle, and ABC series White Fever.

In her agency capacity, Eid has overseen development and production of scripted and factual content for Stan, SBS, ABC, Audible, SXSW, Screamfest LA and La Boîte Theatre Co.

Woodward said: “Diya is an impressive content leader and a true story developer. She nurtures creative teams – particularly writers – from ideation to delivery. I have absolute trust in her ability to take OEC’s slate to the next level as part of our global focus.”

Eid added: “Our slate honours people at the centre of our storytelling: audience and creators. I want to help get stories to the screen that take you on a ride, that grab you by the throat and leave you craving more. Give me twists, turns, secrets, lies.”

Additionally, OEC has promoted Dani Hayek from content coordinator to associate development producer.
