Aussie crime noir Troppo goes global with Amazon

Perpetual Entertainment and Beyond Entertainment’s Troppo has been picked up by Amazon

NEWS BRIEF: The second season of Australian coproduction Troppo, from Perpetual Entertainment and Beyond Entertainment, has been picked up by Amazon for its Prime Video streamer across the US and Europe.

Troppo originally aired on ABC in Australia and is now streaming exclusively on Prime Video and Amazon Freevee in the US, UK, Germany and Austria. The series is based on the New York Times best-selling Crimson Lake novels by Candice Fox, and stars Thomas Jane and Nicole Chamoun investigating a bizarre local murder and drug ring. Season two is co-written by Boyd Quakawoot (Black Snow) and directed by Grant Brown (Janet King, Harrow). Germany’s Leonine Studios is handling international distribution.
