Attaboy TV alum Jo Enyori takes up new head of development role at Woodcut Media

UK indie Woodcut Media has appointed former Attaboy TV exec Jo Enyori to the newly created position of head of development.

Reporting to Woodcut CEO Kate Beal, Enyori will work for the Woodcut group, which also includes Bristol-based Woodcut West and distribution arm Woodcut International.

Enyori joins Woodcut with almost two decades experience in development and production, having held roles at Acme Films, Hunch Media, Transparent Television and Barcroft Productions.

Most recently Enyori served as head of development at Attaboy TV, where she worked across genres such as true crime, natural history, space, engineering and lifestyle, working mainly with UK, US and Australian channels.

Her commissions have included Inside the Ku Klux Klan, I Do at 92 and Shocking Emergency Calls for Channel 4 in the UK, as well as Babies Behaving Badly for Discovery.

Woodcut said Enyori will focus on developing factual content across all of Woodcut’s key genres, whist extending its reach within the UK and internationally.

The factual prodco, known for true crime and history series such as The Killer Within, recently told C21 it is looking at moving into the factual entertainment genre as part of its plans to expand.

Late last year Woodcut Media and Spark TV, both part of the UK’s Anthology Group, merged to launch a prodco in Bristol focused on natural history and specialist factual.

Kate Beal, CEO at Woodcut Media, said: “Hiring a head of development has been on our radar for a while, especially since the launch of our Bristol-based operation.”
