Atomized hires ex-Sky exec Benoit

London- and New York-based indie Atomized Studios has appointed former Sky commissioning editor Marvyn Benoit to the newly created role of head of broadcast.

Benoit, who takes up the position immediately, will be responsible for spearheading the expansion of Atomized’s broadcast output and driving the development of its non-scripted programming slate.

He will report to Atomized Studios’ founder and creative director Zad Rogers, formerly creative director of RDF Digital.

With a career in television production spanning 20 years, Benoit was most recently a creative executive at YouTube Originals EMEA, where he helped audiences engage with artists and creators with original programming.

Prior to that, he was a commissioning editor for entertainment and arts at Sky, where he oversaw the development of projects including This Is Our Family, a series of films following real families across the UK, and Generation Grime, which charted the history and evolution of grime music.

Rogers said: “Marvyn has an incredible track record of developing high-quality programming, making him the perfect person to continue Atomized Studio’s expansion into the broadcast arena alongside our branded content offering.”
