Asian nets know a lot about Portfolio

Broadcasters in Asia and the Pacific Rim have acquired children’s series Doki and The Cat in the Hat Knows A Lot About That! from Portfolio Entertainment in Canada.

Discovery Networks Asia-Pacific has picked up the first and second seasons of Doki (52×30′), the preschool series that was originally commissioned by Discovery Kids Latin America.

Meanwhile, Mediacorp in Singapore and EBS in South Korea have bought the second season of the show, with the latter broadcaster also picking up three half-hour specials.

The series follows a curious dog and his five friends as they travel the world and explore distant lands and cultures.

Elsewhere, streaming service iFlix has taken season one of Dr Seuss-inspired animated series The Cat in the Hat Knows a Lot About That! (40×30′) for the Philippines and Thailand.

The Canadian producer and distributor will be attending Mipcom next week having recently launched an animation studio in Toronto.
