Noirmont will coordinate all M&A activity for AMG as part of its expansion and acquisition plan across Europe and the Middle East. He will report to AMG co-CEOs Gaspard de Chavagnac and Marina Williams, working from the company’s headquarters in Paris.

Since it was launched in April 2020, AMG has acquired stakes in Death in Paradise producer Red Planet Pictures and Wag Entertainment, both based in the UK, plus French scripted production house Kabo Family.

The company was founded by former Endemol Shine exec Williams, ex-Banijay exec Chavagnac and ex-Zodiak Media CEO Marc-Antoine d’Hallui. It launched in April 2020 with the acquisition of majority stakes in Italian production houses Picomedia and Stand By Me and French prodco Mintee Studio.

Noirmont joins AMG from Canal+ Group where, as strategy and M&A director, he worked both on French and international activities, managing deals ranging from €10m (US$11.3m) in value to more than €1bn with the acquisition of M7 Group in 2019.

Before joining Canal+, Noirmont spent more than five years at Kearney, a worldwide strategy consulting firm with a focus on media and private equity.

In a joint statement, Chavagnac and Williams said: “Alban will play a central role in Asacha’s ongoing growth strategy as we will accelerate our expansion through multiple acquisitions of production companies and partnerships with talents all over Europe and the Middle East. He brings deep industry expertise through his very valuable experience as a senior executive at Canal+ Group.”
