Arte greenlights Bosnian conflict drama A Life’s Worth from Yellow Bird

A Life’s Worth follows UN soldiers who embark on a dangerous mission

SERIES MANIA: Arte in France has ordered drama series A Life’s Worth, which is inspired by real events during the Bosnian conflict in the 1990s.

The six-part series is produced by Banijay Nordic-backed Swedish outfit Yellow Bird (Headhunters) in a coproduction with Arte and Viaplay Content Distribution.

Announced during Series Mania this week and set in the fall of 1993, it tells the story of Swedish UN soldiers who embark on a perilous mission to bring peace to a fractured land.

A Life’s Worth is backed by funds from Creative Europe Media and Nordisk Film & TV Fond. Yellow Bird’s CEO Jakob Feeney serves as executive producer.

Based on Magnus Ernström’s book, the series stars Edvin Ryding (Young Royals) as Strand and Maxwell Cunningham (Top Dog) as Forss.
