Aron Levitz named co-president of story platform Wattpad, will retain studio oversight
Aron Levitz, president of Wattpad Webtoon Studios, has been promoted to a new role as co-president of parent company Wattpad.

He will serve as co-president of the Canada-headquartered story-sharing platform alongside KB Nam, while continuing to lead WWS.
Wattpad said the implementation of the new leadership model will allow it to “embark on its next phase of growth” following a “multi-year strategy to improve its core product and enhance community safety.”
The appointment comes nearly three and a half years after Wattpad was acquired by South Korean internet giant Naver for around US$600m.
The deal brought Wattpad and its studio division under the same umbrella as Korean webcomics platform Webtoon. At the time, Wattpad and Webtoon merged their studio divisions to form Wattpad Webtoon Studios.
In the new leadership structure, Both Levitz and Nam will report to Junkoo Kim, founder and CEO of Webtoon Entertainment.
Levits has been with Wattpad since 2013, joining initially as head of business development before spearheading the launch of Wattpad Studios in 2017 and later as president of the merged Wattpad Webtoon Studios, the integrated studio and publishing division that, among other things, oversees screen adaptations of stories authored on both Wattpad and Webtoon.
Titles produced under the Wattpad Webtoon Studios banner include the film franchise After, based on a webnovel by Anna Todd, as well as the Netflix film trilogy Through My Window and the upcoming Tubi original movie Sidelined: The QB and Me featuring TikTok star Noah Beck.
In addition to those titles, Wattpad Webtoon Studios is also partnering on films and series with Imagine Entertainment, Skybound Entertainment, The Jim Henson Company, Vertigo Entertainment, Diablo Cody and Marvel scribe Christopher Yost.
Nam was appointed as president of Wattpad on an interim basis in 2022, following the departure of Jeanne Lam, and in April was made president on a permanent basis.
