Armoza gamer for Turkey, Hungary

Hungarian public broadcaster MTVA and Turkish network Kanal D have signed up for a new gameshow from Israel’s Armoza Formats.

MTVA will air 45 episodes of We Believe in You, stripping the show daily through its schedule on M1 later this year. It will replace another Armoza show, Still Standing, while it is on hiatus ahead of its fourth season premiere this year.

In Turkey, Endemol is producing a local version to premiere on the Dogan Holdings-owned channel at the end of the month.

We Believe in You takes a group of friends and has them nominate a representative to answer trivia questions. But they must believe in the person’s ability to answer correctly if they are to win the main prize.

Avi Armoza, CEO of Armoza Formats, said: “The pressure is always on to raise the bar for game shows. Standard trivia will not suffice anymore. With this format we have banished the high-pressure environment and have replaced it with a feel-good atmosphere to push the groups towards making their dreams come true.”

Format rights have also recently been acquired in Spain and France.
