The promotion sees Goddard join the Argonon board, with responsibility for leading the group’s legal and commercial operations across UK and international markets.

Reporting to global CEO James Burstall, her remit expands to incorporate all group commercial activity and includes supporting group heads to drive growth in digital platforms and FAST channels.

Goddard is also charged with growing commercial opportunities around the group’s IP.

Argonon believes her expertise in coproduction and financing will support the group’s seven content labels, with the majority of Argonon’s shows now being produced via multiple and varied funding sources.

Goddard has been upped from her previous role as director of legal and commercial affairs. Prior to joining Argonon, she was head of legal and business affairs for UK producers’ association Pact, providing business advice for prodcos.

Founded in 2011, Argonon produces shows such as The Masked Singer UK for ITV, Dispatches for Channel 4 and Lost Treasures of Egypt for Nat Geo.

James Burstall said: “Amanda’s relentless commercial drive, combined with her emotional intelligence and warmth, makes her the ideal addition to the Argonon leadership team, adding significant firepower during this exciting growth period for the group.

“Her expertise across all genres, platforms and territories will be invaluable to both the group and our world class labels as we build on a very positive start to 2025.”

Amanda Goddard said: “I’m looking forward to joining the Argonon board and working closely with the group heads, who are extremely entrepreneurial and talented producers, to maximise commercial and financial opportunities across the UK and international markets.”
