Apple TV+ orders second season of Surface

NEWS BRIEF: US streamer Apple TV+ has renewed psychological thriller series Surface for a second season.

Starring and executive produced by Gugu Mbatha-Raw (The Girl Before), Surface is made by Apple Studios and Reece Witherspoon’s media company Hello Sunshine. The series focuses on a woman trying to put the pieces of her life back together following a traumatic head injury. The second season will see lead character Sophie (Mbatha-Raw) return to London, but the mess she left behind in San Francisco soon catches up with her.
