Apple TV+ duets with Lionel Ritchie for K-pop competition format from CJ ENM and Eureka Productions

PSY and Megan Thee Stallion will host Kpopped

Apple TV+ has ordered music battle format Kpopped, executive produced by Lionel Ritchie and fronted by K-pop trailblazer PSY and rapper Megan Thee Stallion.

The eight-episode series will be coproduced by Korea’s CJ ENM and Eureka Productions in Australia.

The format will see western musical icons reimagine their biggest hits in collaboration with K-pop idols, with a live audience in Seoul picking the winner of the best ‘K-popped’ song.

As well as Richie, the series is being exec produced by Moira Ross, Miky Lee, Megan Thee Stallion and Greg Foster, alongside Harry HK Shin, Jake Hong and producer Ki-woong Kim for CJ ENM.

Exec producing for Freemantle-owned Eureka Productions are Chris Culvenor, Paul Franklin, Wes Dening, David Tibballs and Bruce Eskowitz.
