Apple TV adds ABC, Crackle

Apple has added programming apps from ABC and Crackle to the line-up of its Apple TV set-top boxes.

The company’s streaming device now features Watch ABC, the US network’s TV Everywhere service, plus on-demand platform Crackle, which holds its own original programming as well as series such as Seinfeld and Damages.

Meanwhile, content from financial channel Bloomberg and Korean channel KORTV has also been added, joining the likes of HBO, ESPN and Sky, which also came onboard the service in 2013.

In related news, Crackle has greenlit a third season of its original thriller Chosen. The series’ second season begins on the on-demand platform today.

Production on the new episodes will begin this month in LA and they are expected to be available on Crackle next year. Crackle says the show, which follows a murderous lawyer, is its most-watched original series to date.
