Apple TV+ adapts Howey yarn as Wool

US-based global streamer Apple TV+ has ordered a drama titled Wool, adapted from Hugh Howey’s Silo series of dystopian novels and starring Rebecca Ferguson (Mission Impossible: Fallout).

Rebecca Ferguson

Produced by AMC Studios, Wool is a set in a ruined and toxic future where a community exists in a giant silo underground, hundreds of stories deep. There, men and women, including engineer Juliette (Ferguson), live in a society full of regulations they believe are meant to protect them.

The drama series has been written by Graham Yost (Band of Brothers, Justified) and will be directed by Morten Tyldum (Defending Jacob, The Imitation Game).

They both serve as executive producers, along with Ferguson, Remi Aubuchon, Nina Jack and Ingrid Escajeda.
