Apple Tree House shows up on Raydar

Five Apples’ live-action series Apple Tree House

London-based distribution and coproduction outfit Raydar Media has acquired new children’s mixed-media live-action series Apple Tree House, which debuted recently on CBeebies.

Produced by Five Apples (Rastamouse), Apple Tree House follows the adventures of recent estate arrival Mali and his new best friend Sam.

Raydar hopes to capitalise on the success of its preschool live-action series Teacup Travels by boosting its slate of children’s shows for MipJunior.

Teacup Travels, produced by Plum Films, has been acquired by ABC in Australia for a second season and also by New Zealand pubcaster TVNZ.

Evergreen’s We’re Going on a Bear Hunt is also part of Raydar’s roster for Cannes, where it is looking to consolidate sales for the special from Lupus Films and Walker Productions.

New deals signed with Amazon, TG4 (Ireland), S4C (Wales) and RTHK (Hong Kong) add to previous international sales for the hand-drawn animated film, which is based on the book written by Michael Rosen and illustrated by Helen Oxenbury.

Completing Raydar’s line-up are Grasshopper Productions’ animated special Mouse & Mole at Christmas Time, which has been renewed by CBeebies, and Australian nautical adventure series Sydney Sailboat.
