Apple secures multi-year deal with Charlotte Stoudt, attaches her to Morning Show

US tech giant Apple has renewed flagship drama The Morning Show, starring and exec produced by Jennifer Aniston and Reese Witherspoon, for a third season, and attached Charlotte Stoudt (Homeland, House of Cards) as showrunner.

The series airs on Apple’s global streaming service Apple TV+ and is produced by Witherspoon’s Hello Sunshine along with Echo Films and Media Res.

Apple TV+ has also agreed a new, multi-year overall deal with Stoudt for scripted television series. Kerry Ehrin, who developed The Morning Show and was showrunner on the first and second seasons, will serve as consultant on the third season, and continue developing new series for Apple TV+ under a previously announced overall deal.

The series is executive produced by Michael Ellenberg through Media Res, which also serves as the studio, along with: Aniston and Kristin Hahn through Echo Films; and Witherspoon and Lauren Neustadter through Hello Sunshine. Mimi Leder also serves as executive producer.
