Andy Lee’s Do Not Watch This Show renewed by Australia’s ABC

Do Not Watch This Show has been given a second season

Australian pubcaster the ABC has renewed original animated series Do Not Watch This Show, from Lee Bones Production for season two.

The series, adapted from comedian Andy Lee’s book, debuted on the ABC and iView in July, hitting 1 million average viewers across ABC family and iview in its first two weeks, making it the biggest launch of a new children’s and family show in the history of ABC iview.

The animated series revolves around a blue monster called Wizz who refuses to accept that he is the star of a TV show and is desperate for kids to switch it off. Wizz, voiced by Lee, goes to extreme lengths to deter his audience. The series is also written by Lee with Jason Marion, and Ray Matsen and produced by Lee and Greg Sitch.

ABC director screen, Jennifer Collins said: “It’s testament to the team at Lee Bones that this original series has connected so strongly with Australian families and quickly become a household favourite. We’re proud to be the home of high-quality family programming on the ABC and we can’t wait to see what’s in store for Wizz and his friends in season two.”

Season two of Do Not Watch This Show, will air on the ABC in 2026 and is supported with production funding from the ABC, Screen Australia and VicScreen.
