Andrew Slater and Holly Davidson upped to new development roles at Curious Films

Andrew Slater and Holly Davidson

London-based prodco Curious Films has elevated Andrew Slater to head of development and Holly Davidson to development executive.

The promotions follow the company’s recent documentary hits Shoot to Kill: Terror on the Tube and Boyzone: No Matter What.

Curious Films said Slater has been a key component of those successes, growing its slate over the past three years and forming strong partnerships with UK and US buyers alongside Davidson.

Slater has worked on multiple series of 24 Hours in Police Custody, Hospital, Exodus, SAS: Who Dares Wins and Our War. He previously produced Curious’s first Netflix commission, Running With The Devil, and exec produced Shoot to Kill: Terror on the Tube for Channel 4.

Davidson joined the development team in 2021, originating Netflix’s global hit Lover Stalker Killer as well as two more Netflix projects currently in production at Curious.

Dov Freedman, chief executive at Curious, said: “We are very fortunate to be in the position of reinforcing the strength of our senior team while we focus on the next set of ambitious and noisy Curious productions. I am so glad to be able to promote from within the company, knowing that our internal development processes are helping to progress such brilliant talent.”
