The company, which is behind projects such as Discovery+ doc Rebel Hearts and HBO Max’s Undercurrent: The Disappearance of Kim Wall, has also hired Dan Baglio as senior VP of development and promoted Sam DeVaney to manager of development.

Braxton and Baglio will both report to founder and CEO Ethan Goldman, while DeVaney will report to Baglio.

In her new role, Braxton will manage Anchor’s production slate of series and documentaries, including projects for MSNBC, AMC and Discovery+. Braxton has previously worked with Anchor Entertainment when she served as showrunner on the first two seasons of docuseries The Lost Kitchen for Magnolia and Discovery+, and the recently launched Model America for MSNBC. She also has credits on 60 Days In (A&E), House of DVF (E!), The Great Holiday Baking Show (ABC) and Released (OWN).

Baglio, who was most recently senior VP of original programming and development at Pulse Films, is charged with developing and producing original series and feature docs for streamers and cable networks.

During his time at Pulse, he developed and executive produced series and features for Vice such as Vice Versa: College $ports, Inc, Betraying the Badge and Too Soon: Comedy After 9/11. He is also former VP of original programming development at Herzog & Company.

Since arriving at Anchor Entertainment a year ago, DeVaney has worked on the two-part docuseries Undercurrent: The Disappearance of Kim Wall. She was previously at Critical Content, and before that at comedy platform Super Deluxe.

The appointments come after Anchor Entertainment, which was previously part of New York-based creative agency Anchor Worldwide, launched independently under Goldman’s direction.

The company’s slate also includes home design series Capturing Home (Magnolia), four-part series Model America (MSNBC/Peacock) and upcoming shows Look into My Eyes (AMC) and History’s Greatest Heists with Pierce Brosnan (History).
