Ample, Samuel L Jackson try Life on the Edge

US prodco Ample Entertainment has partnered with actor Samuel L Jackson and his producer daughter Zoe Jackson on a documentary series about marginalised communities and gang culture.

Life on the Edge will use deepfake technology and self-shot footage to capture the day-to-day lives of individuals in the shadow of some of the most notoriously violent groups in the world.

In a statement, father and daughter said: “No one has ever looked at these groups from a fresh perspective – from the inside out. These are young people trying to find a place in a chaotic world up against extraordinary odds. We can’t think of stories more worthy of telling.”

Ample has already had great success in the self-shot space with two seasons of social experiment docuseries 9 Months with Courteney Cox on Facebook Watch.
