US prodco Ample Entertainment has signed a first-look deal with the Israeli filmmakers behind Netflix’s Oscar-winning true crime miniseries Shadow of Truth.

Under the deal, Ample will collaborate with Yotam Guendelman, Mika Timor and Ari Pines to develop and produce a slate of premium stranger-than-fiction films and series in the unscripted space.

In addition to Shadow of Truth, which won three Oscars, Guendelman wrote and directed short film Cham, which was produced by Timor, and co-wrote and produced serial killer series Coastal Road Killer with both Timor and Pines.

Timor is currently developing six documentaries for different broadcasters, while Pines is head director of Real Time, Israeli Public Network’s investigative journalism series.

“Premium unscripted content is at the heart of the stories we tell, so we’re always looking for unique opportunities to elevate our non-fiction portfolio by working with the freshest talent in the industry,” said Ari Mark, co-founder of Ample Entertainment.
