AMC’s HandMade doc An Accidental Studio and horror series NOS4A2 land at ITVX

Supernatural series NOS4A2 is based on the novel by Joe Hill

UK commercial broadcaster ITV’s streaming service ITVX has acquired two programmes from AMC Networks International UK: feature-length doc An Accidental Studio and season one of supernatural horror series NOS4A2.

Produced in the UK, An Accidental Studio tells the story of HandMade Films, former Beatle George Harrison’s venture into the film industry, and its ethos of making and releasing maverick films that others had rejected, from Life of Brian to The Long Good Friday.

Based on Joe Hill’s 2013 novel of the same name, NOS4A2 follows a seductive immortal who feeds off the souls of children and then deposits what remains of them into Christmasland, an icy, twisted Christmas village of his imagination where every day is Christmas Day and unhappiness is against the law.

Both shows will debut on ITVX this December. ITVX already houses AMC shows including The Son, The Terror, Before We Was We, Portlandia and Creepshow.
