AMC Networks Int’l among Lat Am buyers of Blue Ant Studios factual

#Racegirl: The Comeback of Sophia Florch was licensed by DirecTV Latin America and streamer DGO

LA SCREENINGS: AMC Networks International Latin America is among a group of Lat Am buyers who have acquired natural history and factual entertainment programming from Canada’s Blue Ant Studios.

AMC has picked up a package of Love Nature originals including the first seasons of Animal Senses (6×40’, Blue Ant Studios), six-parter Mysteries of Evolution, The Wild Wild East (14×30’, Arcadia Entertainment), Africa’s Hidden Kingdoms (6×60’, Off the Fence), A Wild Year on Earth (6×60’, Northern Pictures), Animal Empires (6×60’, Arcadia Entertainment) and The Living Beach (6×60’, Arcadia Entertainment).

The company has also acquired fact ent shows including seasons one and two of Crazy Beautiful Weddings (20×30, Blue Ant Studios), Great Escapes with Colin & Justin (8×30’, Nikki Ray Media Agency) and S1 of property series Custom Built (26×30’, Nikki Ray Media Agency).

Elsewhere, DirecTV Latin America and streamer DGO have picked up doc and fact ent shows including Tata: Escobar’s Widow (2×60’/1×90′, Telegramme Media), The Playboy Bunny Murder (2×60′, Future Studios, Soho Studios, ITVX), Body in the Suitcase (2×60’/1×120’, Transistor Films), #Racegirl: The Comeback of Sophia Florch (1×90’, Gebrueder Beetz), Finding Satoshi (1×60’, Mt Melvil) and S1-2 of Coolest Places to Stay (12×30’, Nikki Ray Media Agency).

Sociedad Televisora Larranaga in Uruguay, meanwhile, has picked up natural history programming including Osprey: Sea Raptor (1×60’, CosmoVision, Love Nature), Alaskan Summer (1×60’, Blue Ant Studios), the first seasons of Wild Latin America (3×60’, Blink Films), Africa’s Wild Year (4×60’, Merx International), Wild Year On Earth (6×60’, Northern Pictures), Pacific (4×60’, Voltage TV) and Valley of Flood & Fire (3×60’, Plimsoll Productions), as well as S1-2 of The World’s Deadliest Weather (26×60’, back2back).

Finally, ¡Hola! TV has licensed Charles III: The Coronation Year (2×60’/1×90’, Oxford Films).
