AMC Networks International Latin America ups John Huff to director general

AMC Networks International Latin America (AMCNI-LA) has promoted John Huff to director general alongside his existing role as chief financial officer.

Based in Miami, Huff will report to Eduardo Zulueta, president of AMCNI, and Flora Huang, senior VP of international finance and strategy.

Huff will oversee all the commercial, content and promotional activities of AMCNI-LA, including its six linear channels in the Lat Am and US Hispanic regions – AMC, El Gourmet, Film & Arts, Europa Europa, Más Chic and AMC Selekt 4K – plus gaming unit Strib.

Prior to joining AMCNI-LA, Huff headed up the regional finance departments of Anixter and John Crane. He also worked for companies such as American Express, Citrix and Citigroup.

Zulueta said: “In his seven years with the company, John has been an invaluable contributor who has helped drive our business forward as CFO.

“Expanding John’s role to include leading all of our Latin American operations as director general will allow us to further grow our business in this key region as we continue to bring audiences the most attractive, high-quality programming we are known for.”
