Amazon’s Prime Video acquires upcoming behind-the-scenes documentary following Melania Trump

Amazon’s Prime Video has acquired a forthcoming behind-the-scenes documentary following Melania Trump, executive produced by the former and future first lady.

According to US reports, the documentary is being directed by Brett Ratner, the Hollywood filmmaker who was accused by numerous women of sexual assault and misconduct in 2017. It marks Ratner’s first film as director since the allegations, which he denied.

The film is being made with the Slovenian-born former supermodel’s cooperation and began filming in December, soon after her husband Donald Trump won the 2024 presidential election. The president-elect will return to the White House following his inauguration on January 20.

“Prime Video will be sharing more details on the project as filming progresses and release plans are finalised. We are excited to share this truly unique story with our millions of customers around the world,” an Amazon spokesperson said in a statement to US media.
