Amazon Prime Video in Canada lands on Cara Delevingne’s Planet Sex docuseries

Cara Delevingne has been promoting Planet Sex with Cara Delevingne in Cannes

MIPCOM: Amazon’s Prime Video streaming service has picked up Planet Sex with Cara Delevingne for its service in Canada.

European producer and distribution group Fremantle has racked up pre-sales in more than 90 territories for the forthcoming docuseries, which Delevingne is promoting in Cannes this week.

Fremantle has also announced pre-sales to RTL in Germany and Hungary; Viaplay across Nordic and Baltic countries, as well as the Netherlands; M6 Group’s Teva in France; Vodafone in Greece; YesDBS and Channel HOT8 in Israel; Latvia’s TV3 Group; Canal+ in Poland; Showmax in South Africa; SBS in Australia; BluTV for Turkey; and PCCW covering Hong Kong and Macao.

The six-parter, fronted by the supermodel, actor and LGBTQ+ icon, is produced by Fremantle-owned Naked Television and Delevingne’s Milkshake Productions, and was jointly commissioned by BBC Three and Hulu. Japan’s NHK is also onboard as a coproducer.

Executive producers of the series are Simon Andreae, Delevingne, Kate Dart and Fiona Caldwell, and it was commissioned by BBC Three controller Fiona Campbell and Jack Bootle, head of commissioning for specialist factual at the BBC. Fremantle holds global rights.

Planet Sex with Cara Delevingne sees the presenter address the hot topic of human sexuality and gender fluidity, spotlighting individuals and their unique experiences and also sharing her own experiences.
