Amazon meets Tampa Baes

Amazon Studios has greenlit an eight-episode docuseries about the burgeoning gay scene in Tampa Bay, Florida.

Focusing on lesbians living in the area, Tampa Baes will premiere in the autumn on Amazon Prime Video in the US, UK, Australia, Canada, India, Ireland and New Zealand, with a worldwide release to follow.

US prodco 3 Ball Productions, known for CBS’s Come Dance with Me, has made the show. Reinout Oerlemans, Ross Weintraub, Jeff Altrock, Paul O’Malley and Melissa Bidwell serve as executive producers with Amazon Studios.
