Amazon greenlights German romantic drama based on Maxton Hall novels

One Night Off, Amazon’s first German movie, was also directed by Martin Schreier

Amazon’s Prime Video service has greenlit a new original romantic drama series in Germany.

Filming has now begun on Save Me, the first part of the award-winning bestselling novel trilogy Maxton Hall by German author Mona Kasten.

The series will be filmed in Berlin, London, Oxford and in and around Marienburg Castle. It is directed by Martin Schreier, who previously directed One Night Off, Amazon Studios’ first German film, for Prime Video, and Tarek Roehlinger.

Produced by UFA Fiction, the Amazon Original series will be available exclusively on Prime Video in all territories in 2023.
