Amazon, Fremantle launch dedicated Jamie Oliver FAST channel on Freevee

Jamie Oliver has been a fixture of culinary TV since 1999

European production group Fremantle and Jamie Oliver are launching a free ad-supported streaming TV (FAST) channel dedicated to the celebrity chef on Amazon’s Freevee service today.

The Jamie Oliver Channel will give US fans access to shows including American Road Trip, 30 Minute Meals and Jamie’s Kitchen. It will continue to roll out onto other services in the coming months.

A host of international broadcasters have also picked up The Great Cookbook Challenge with Jamie Oliver, in which Britain’s best undiscovered cooks compete against each other to win a life-changing prize and publish their very own cookbook with Penguin Random House.

After launching in the UK on Channel 4 in January, the series has been picked up by broadcasters including CTV Life Channel (Canada), Disney (Eastern Europe, the Netherlands, MENA, Turkey) FOX Life (Greece, Malta, Cyprus), RTL Living (Germany) AMC Networks International Central & Northern Europe (Hungary, Czech Republic, Slovakia, Romania, Moldova), Ananey (Israel) and TV3 Lithuania (Lithuania).

The Great Cookbook Challenge with Jamie Oliver (7×60′) is produced by Jamie Oliver Productions and Plum Pictures for Channel 4. Fremantle is also selling the format.
