All3Media International partners with Turkish digital distributor Merzigo

Merzigo will monetise FAST channels streaming shows such as Accused

All3Media International has signed a multi-year partnership with Turkish digital distribution and monetisation outfit Merzigo.

Merzigo will manage the presence of All3Media International shows such as Shameless, Midsomer Murders, Undercover Boss and Peep Show on YouTube and Facebook.

Merzigo will also monetise the free ad-supported streaming TV (FAST) channels Demand Drama, So Real and Inside Outside, which stream shows such as Accused, Ultimate Force and Obsessive Compulsive Cleaners, on behalf of the UK distribution giant.

Founded in 2018, Merzigo manages more than 5,000 channels in over 30 languages for content owners including Disney, Fremantle, Warner Bros Discovery and Sony Pictures.

The deal was negotiated on behalf of All3Media International by CEO Louise Pedersen and chief operating officer and chief financial officer John Wagener, and for Merzigo Global by chairperson and CEO Yiğit Doğan Çelik and chief operating officer Ceyda Sıla Çetinkaya, alongside Valerio Motti, MD for EMEA.

All3Media has its own digital distribution specialist in Little Dot Studios, which operates more than 135 social channels and multiple FAST brands streaming across over 120 channels.

Pedersen: “As a distributor with a significant library we want to ensure that our content is as widely monetised on YouTube and Facebook as possible and we are excited to be working with Merzigo on some of our catalogue titles.

“Merzigo has a complementary strategy to our existing YouTube and Facebook monetisation activity, and we are thrilled to be working together on this new partnership.”

Doğan Çelik said: “This agreement marks a major milestone in our expansion within the UK market. Being entrusted with the management of some of the most iconic British IP underscores Merzigo’s leadership in content monetisation and optimisation across YouTube and Facebook.”
