Agraso finds Silverlining sales role

UK distributor and production funding broker Silverlining Rights has brought in Esther Agraso, former head of sales at Spain’s Imagina International Sales.

Agraso has joined Silverlining Rights as a sales associate and will look after a range of territories including Spain, Portugal, CEE, CIS, Latin America and Spanish-speaking US.

Silverlining said Agraso, who has more than 20 years’ experience in content production and international distribution, will expand the all-female company’s sales and funding reach.

Agraso left the sales arm of Mediapro Group last year, having been promoted to head of sales at the company in 2017.

Agraso was previously a sales executive and before she worked for Boomerang TV, between 2014 and 2016.

Agraso recently agreed her first deal for Silverlining, selling a package of programmes including The Rise and Fall of the Spanish King (1×30′) and The Hunt for Britain’s Slave Gangs (1×60′), to Portuguese broadcaster SIC.

Silverlining MD Bethan Corney said: “In addition to handling the sale of ready-mades into these territories, we’ll be utilising her expertise to push pre-sales of key titles where we are tasked with raising gap funding to get programmes fully funded and into production.”

Silverlining recently pre-sold The Surrogates (3×60′), a forthcoming BBC documentary about surrogacy, to broadcasters around Europe and in Australia.
