Aggregator Alchimie picks up AVoD and SVoD rights to Grupo Planeta content

Argentinian telenovela Esperanza Mia

French content aggregator Alchimie has agreed a deal with Spanish producer and distributor Grupo Planeta for AVoD and SVoD rights to a catalogue of Spanish scripted content.

Alchimie’s Spanish-language channels are available in Spain on all main digital platforms via Alchimie’s TV Player Go! app and through online streaming and on mobile networks, including leading local mobile provider Movistar.

The deal covers two divisions of Grupo Planeta, DeAPlaneta and Planeta Junior, with DeAPlaneta providing nine feature films including Amores Perros, Pancho El Perro Millonario from Spain, Mexico and Argentina.

Alchimie has also acquired the SVoD and AVoD rights to the Argentinian telenovela Esperanza Mia (My Hope) from Planeta Junior.

The 180-episode romantic comedy telenovela will be available on Alchimie’s Spanish SVoD channel Pasion Telenovelas, which focuses on soaps and telenovelas, as well as a range of Alchimie’s other Spanish-language channels.
