AGC Studios promotes Lourdes Diaz to chief creative officer, adds feature films to remit

LA-based production company AGC Studios has promoted Lourdes Diaz to the role of chief creative officer.

Lourdes Diaz

Diaz, who was formerly president of the company’s television arm, AGC Television, will see her role expand to include oversight of AGC’s feature film operations alongside chairman and CEO Stuart Ford. She will continue to oversee the company’s current and future TV productions across scripted, unscripted and digital.

AGC Studios, founded in 2018, has produced or been a financing partner on 27 TV and film projects since its launch including the War of the Worlds television series, coproduced with Canal+ and Fox International.

The company’s other recent credits include Australian drama Troppo and US crime drama Leopard Skin. Diaz was also an executive producer on Netflix documentary The Tinder Swindler.

AGC Studios also produces a number of Spanish-language series such as Amazon’s upcoming News of a Kidnapping and Te Buscaré Hasta Encontrarte (I Will Look for You Until I Find You) for Paramount+. The latter is produced under a first-look pact with VIS for Spanish-language projects.

Before joining AGC Studios, Diaz was president of entertainment at Univision Communications and before that she served in the role of VP, head of global production and development for Comedy Central International.
