Afghan doc My Childhood to debut in UK on ITV

Seventh Art doc My Childhood, My Country – 20 Years in Afghanistan

NEWS BRIEF: Commercial broadcaster ITV will carry the UK premiere of My Childhood, My Country – 20 Years in Afghanistan, a documentary following the life of a boy in Afghanistan over two decades and charting the country’s journey since 9/11.

Produced by UK indie Seventh Art and directed by Phil Grabsky and Shoaib Sharifi, the film centres on Mir Hussain, who begins the film as a seven-year-old living in a cave and ends with him chasing a career as a cameraman in Kabul. The doc is distributed by Singapore’s Bomanbridge Media and will air on ITV in September.
