A+E’s History Channel explores biblical stories in 10-part unscripted event series

US cable network The History Channel has greenlit The Bible Revealed, a 10-part unscripted series exploring and reinterpreting some of the central biblical events.

The project is being produced by A+E Factual Studios, which is also behind titles such as It’s In the Game: Madden NFL (Prime Video), Dance Moms: A New Era (Hulu) and Holy Marvels with Dennis Quaid (The History Channel).

The announcement of the project comes some 12 years after The History Channel aired The Bible, a scripted series co-created by Roma Downey and Mark Burnett. It remains one of the highest-rated shows ever on the network.

The new project examines Bible stories including the Great Flood, the Ten Plagues and the Garden of Eden, with commentary from scholars and theologians.

“The Bible Revealed reaffirms our mission to tell globally significant stories with depth and integrity and this series offers an opportunity to revisit these powerful stories in a fresh, compelling way for both long-time viewers and new generations,” said Eli Lehrer, The History Channel’s executive VP and head of programming.

A+E Factual Studios is part of A+E Global Media (fka A+E Networks), the production, distribution and network group headquartered in New York. The parent group was rebranded earlier this year as the company revealed a slate of more than 100 hours of programming for 2025/26.
