A+E revamps Studios team

A+E Networks has upped one of its executives to oversee all non-fiction production at the company’s in-house studio.

Alexandra MacDowell takes up the newly created role of senior VP of production management and will be responsible for A+E Studios’ non-fiction output, working closely with network execs and other prodcos on new shows.

She will continue to oversee production for A+E Networks’ channels, which include A&E, Lifetime, History, FYI, H2 and LMN.

MacDowell, who was most recently VP of production management, will be based in New York and report to Bob DeBitetto, A+E Networks’ president of brand strategy, business development and A+E Studios.

DeBitetto, previously president and GM of A&E and Bio channels, was promoted to run A+E Studios ahead of its launch in 2013.

The production arm creates content for all A+E’s networks and platforms as well as overseeing brand strategy across the company.
