Fox-owned AVoD service Tubi has continued to ramp up its original commissioning operation over the past 12 months, with the company in May revealing plans to release more than 100 originals over the course of the year.

Particular areas of focus so far have been horror, comedy and adult animation, and the platform is continuing to broaden its programming remit as it expands its offering.

Tubi has linked up with Canadian production company Incendo as part of these moves and the pair recently signed an expanded deal.

Chief content officer Adam Lewinson and Incendo production and development exec Graham Ludlow spoke to Jordan Pinto at C21’s Content Canada last week about the voracious appetite for horror content and how Tubi is able to move quickly when it comes to commissioning and producing new titles, such as the duo’s remake of 1980 slasher film Terror Train.

C21FM is live 24/7, with a block of interviews starting at 10am BST every day HERE.
