Abundantia Entertainment takes trip to Israel’s Hood with Indian remake

The Hood has run for three seasons in Israel

Indian prodco Abundantia Entertainment is making a local version of in Israeli teen drama series The Hood.

From Paramount-owned Israeli producer Ananey Studios, the original series, locally titled Shchuna, was created by Giora Chamizer and has run for three seasons on Nickelodeon Israel.

The plot centres on a group of teenagers who live in a small neighbourhood where everybody knows each other and all are good friends. However, behind a wall, there is a big city of rich people who will do anything to make the others feel bad.

Abundantia Entertainment will produce The Hood under its new genre vertical Filters, which creates content focused on the young-adult demographic.
