ABC Oz’s ghostly teen comedy Crazy Fun Park to haunt Hulu at Halloween

Crazy Fun Park premiered on the ABC in January

Werner Film Productions’ teen comedy series Crazy Fun Park has been acquired by Disney-owned streamer Hulu, making a US debut for the Australian production.

The series is scheduled to premiere in October as part of Hulu’s ‘Huluween’ programming streaming to its 48 million subscribers.

Crazy Fun Park premiered on the ABC in January and has now been acquired by broadcasters in Spain, Finland, Norway, Lithuania, Belgium, Slovenia, Taiwan, New Zealand and the UK on the BBC via global distributor ACTF.

The series centres on two best friends, Chester and Mapplethorpe, who refuse to be separated by Mapplethorpe’s accidental death at a theme park. Chester can see Mapplethorpe and also his new band of ghostly friends who have also died at the fun park.

The series was produced by Werner for the ABC with production investment from Screen Australia and the Australian Children’s Television Foundation in addition to Film Victoria and the ABC.
