ABC orders Portrait Artist of the Year from Endemol Shine

NEWS BRIEF: Australia’s ABC has commissioned a local version of the UK’s Portrait Artist of the Year format, with an eight-part series on order from Endemol Shine Australia.

The competitive series, created by StoryVault Films for Sky Arts in the UK, pits amateur and professional artists in a creative battle for a commission for the National Portrait Gallery in Canberra. The series will be hosted by actor Miranda Tapsell (The Sapphires, Top End Wedding) and comedian Luke McGregor (Rosehaven).
