ABC Australia brings back Stuff the British Stole for a third season

The ABC has commissioned a third season of historical series Stuff the British Stole.

The series, which launched on the Australian public broadcaster in 2022 following the success of the podcast of the same name, investigates the legacy of the British Empire through the lens of contested cultural objects.

Season three will screen on ABC TV and ABC iview in 2026 and will see the return of host and investigative journalist Marc Fennell.

The programme is a coproduction between Wooden Horse, WildBear Entertainment and Artemis Media, with investment from ABC and Screen Australia, and additional finance from Screenwest, Lotterywest and VicScreen.

The renewal follows last month’s news that production Wooden Horse and Warner Bros are developing the documentary and podcast concept into an international heist drama series.

Distribution of the series is managed locally and internationally by Fremantle.
