Abacus shops Greek football feature

King Otto looks at Greece’s Euro 2004 triumph

Recently launched distributor Abacus Media Rights has obtained the international sales rights to new feature documentary King Otto.

Made by New York prodco Cinéma Nolita, the 1×81’ film tells the story of how the Greek national football team united with German coach ‘King’ Otto Rehhagel to beat Euro 2004 favourites Portugal on their home turf to win the tournament.

The doc is directed by Cinéma Nolita creator Christopher André Marks, produced by Shani Hilton and exec produced by Ronald L Chez.

The theatrical release will be handled by Piece of Magic Entertainment in select territories, Umbrella Entertainment in Australia and New Zealand and Tanweer in Greece and Cyprus.
