9 Story’s Tiger prowls Lat Am

Broadcasters across Latin America have picked up programming from Canadian producer-distributor 9 Story Media Group, including preschool show Daniel Tiger’s Neighbourhood.

TV Brasil has licensed the first season of the children’s show, which launched in 2012 on US channel PBS Kids and CBC in Canada and follows a four-year-old tiger’s adventures.

Elsewhere, Televisión Nacional Uruguay has acquired the first run of Wild Kratts, along with Brazil’s Canal Futura, which has also added a second season to its slate. Canal Once in Mexico has picked up the first seasons of Daniel Tiger’s Neighbourhood and Camp Lakebottom.

Natalie Osborne, MD of 9 Story Media Group, said the sales proved the “strong momentum” the company was experiencing in Latin America.
