50 Ways’ Baz Ashmawy on getting into grief with acting debut Faithless

Today we hear from Baz Ashmawy, star of hit Sky non-scripted entertainment show 50 Ways to Kill Your Mammy, about his new dramedy series Faithless, which is billed as a mixed-race Irish Two and a Half Men centred on grief.

Irish television and radio personality Baz Ashmawy is best known for his role fronting 2015 International Emmy-winning non-scripted entertainment show 50 Ways to Kill Your Mammy.

Aside from the Sky series, he has hosted a string of others for national public broadcaster RTÉ and presented regular radio shows. Now he is stepping into his first major acting role for Faithless, a dramedy he also created and co-wrote.

The story concerns a father attempting to raise his three daughters after a tragic accident, with some help from his younger brother, and is billed as a mixed-race Irish Two and a Half Men centred on grief.

Produced by Media Musketeers Studios and Entourage Ventures in collaboration with Grand Pictures for Virgin Media Television, the show will be distributed by Abacus Media Rights at Mipcom.
