5 pieces together gameshow format Celebrity Puzzling from ITV Studios

Paramount-owned 5 in the UK has commissioned gameshow format Celebrity Puzzling, to be presented by broadcaster Jeremy Vine (Eggheads) and distributed internationally by ITV Studios (ITVS).

The 8×60′ series, produced by ITVS-owned Potato and Wheelhouse Studios, features actress Sally Lindsay (Scott & Bailey) and Carol Vorderman (Countdown) as team captains.

Each week, celebrity guests will tackle a range of fun and fiendish puzzles which test logic, lateral thinking and problem-solving as they compete to be named the best puzzle-solvers in showbiz.

Celebrity Puzzling was ordered by Federico Ruiz, commissioning editor, unscripted at 5, who described the show as “fun, warm and a joy to play along.”

Martin Scott, executive producer, Potato, said: “This fresh take on the Puzzling format truly tests brainpower in surprising ways across a wide range of mental dimensions. It’s great fun and a real challenge.”
