Newen toons get Chinese distributor

Newen’s Polo is set in a dream world

A Chinese animation distributor has agreed a deal to represent titles from the sales arm of French production giant Newen Group in the country.

Jetsen Huashi Kids, which claims to be one of China’s largest animation distributors, will sell series such as The Mysterious Cities of Gold and preschool toon Polo following the deal with Newen Distribution.

The Mysterious Cities of Gold tells the story of a group of travellers searching for legendary cities and was produced by Paris-based Blue Spirit Animation.

Polo, meanwhile, follows a character who lives in a dream world and was produced by Bayard Animation and Fabrique d’Images.
