Newen shops Cassandre to Spain

MIPCOM: Paramount Channel in Spain is the latest international broadcaster to pick up police procedural Cassandre from TF1-owned French sales house Newen Distribution.

NBCUniversal’s 13th Street channel had previously taken the series in Spain and launched it in primetime in June. In Italy, Paramount Channel has been airing it since spring 2018 and recently acquired the fourth season.

Produced by Barjac Production and commissioned by public broadcaster France 3, the series has already been sold to RTS Switzerland, RTBF Belgium, Film Box Channel CEE and Ten Time Middle East and will be highlighted by Newen Distribution during Mipcom.

The plot follows a sharp and skilled cop who is also a devoted mother.
